Air bubbles save water used in showers

"An Australian government research agency has come up with a way to drastically reduce the amount of water used in a shower.

CSIRO Manufacturing & Materials Technology said its "air shower" can cut the amount of water used by a typical Australian household for showers by up to 30 per cent, or a saving of 15,000 to 20,000 litres a year.

The device, which is expected to be cheap and easily installed by householders, mixes air and water, introducing tiny bubbles into the water stream."
